"The purpose of art is washing the dust of daily life off our souls." // Pablo Picasso
Contemporary Art - MOCO Museum
Having recently explored the Moco Museum in Barcelona, I was truly captivated by the exciting and enriching experience it offered. If you're considering a trip to either Barcelona or Amsterdam, I highly recommend making the Moco Museum a priority on your itinerary.
The museum is known for its unique exhibitions and thought-provoking pieces by modern and contemporary artists like Jean-Michel Basquiat, Banksy, KAWS, Keith Haring, Jeff Koons, Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Yayoi Kusama, THE KID, Andy Warhol, Studio Irma, and so many more!

Books - “The Creative Act: A Way of Being”
I just finished reading "The Creative Act: A Way of Being" by Rick Rubin. My latest read on the creativity shelf (non-fiction/self-help).
In his book, Rubin guides readers on a transformative journey into the realm of creativity. It explores themes related to creativity, personal growth, and embracing a creative mindset, making it a valuable resource for individuals seeking to enhance their creative thinking and approach to life. This work is a testament to the fact that creativity is not reserved for artists (and musicians) alone, but rather a way of life that can empower anyone.

Design - illustration.lol
I recently discovered a captivating website that is dedicated to celebrating the beauty of marks - the unique combinations of color, line, shape, and texture that bring stories and perspectives to life.
It pays tribute to the creative individuals behind these marks, the visionary leaders who guide them, and the talented writers who brought the stories to life. If you have a passion for art and storytelling, I highly recommend exploring this platform. You can also filter out by subject, tone, and tags.
Example: The New York Times article titled "This Ancient Whale May Have Been the Heaviest Animal Ever" includes an illustration by Alberto Gennari, which can be accessed on their website.

Or this article in The Los Angeles Times, featured this super creative illustration by Haruko Hayakawa.

Psychology and Internet Culture - A.S.M.R
Don't you like abbreviations? Here is an introduction to the world of ASMR. I came across it a few months ago, but I only recently experienced it myself.
ASMR, which stands for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, is a phenomenon categorized within the realms of psychology, sensory experiences, and internet culture. In this article, Jamie Lauren Keiles describes how the brain-tingling feeling that was a hard-to-describe psychological oddity, suddenly became a YouTube phenomenon.
The sensation creates tingling waves from the scalp down the spine, often accompanied by feelings of calmness and comfort. It gained attention through online discussions, where people shared experiences of this unique sensation triggered by gentle sounds and actions like whispering or tapping, and became popular for relaxation and stress relief.
ASMR videos, often involving touching and tapping various objects, offer a way to experience comfort and intimacy. While ASMR isn't sexual, its intimate nature has sparked discussions about boundaries and connections in the digital era. It's a fascinating intersection of technology and human experiences, showcasing how the internet connects people through shared sensations and emotions.

TV Show - “The Crowded Room”
Introducing a cinematic masterpiece that is making waves – "The Crowded Room." I loved it so much that I almost watched the entire series in just one day (#mind-blowing)! The show takes place in Manhattan in the summer of 1979, where a young man is arrested for a shocking crime, and an unlikely investigator must solve the mystery behind it before the true criminal strikes again.
Prepare to be enthralled by Tom Holland's exceptional acting as he takes on the challenging role of Danny Sullivan. This series delves into the topic of mental health, revealing its intricacies in a captivating and gradual manner to keep the audience engaged. You will become fully immersed in a world that will provoke your emotions and challenge you to see things from a different perspective in each and every episode. Holland's performance is nothing short of extraordinary, making "The Crowded Room" an experience that lingers long after the credits roll.
