Book Recommendation

Have you ever wondered why things often get lost in translation or textlation, or why people don't seem to understand you? While it may be tempting to think that everyone around you is simply incompetent, the reality is much more nuanced. After all, we are all human.

In his book Surrounded by Idiots: The Four Types of Human Behavior and How to Effectively Communicate with Each in Business (and in Life)”, Thomas Erikson, guides you on a remarkable journey of self-discovery and interpersonal understanding. Thomas' book provides valuable insights and practical tools for personal growth. Whether you are looking to improve your communication skills, build meaningful connections, or gain a deeper understanding of yourself and others, this book can help you achieve your goals.

A week ago I posted a short post about it on my LinkedIn account and got additional recommendations from Thomas that were added to my reading list.

Here's a helpful animated video that provides a summary of the book:

Productivity and Well-being

Meet the productivity music app called brain.fm. App’s sound and music library is organized into four categories (focus, relax, sleep, meditate), making it easy to find the perfect auditory accompaniment for any occasion.

Here you can find a full review of brain.fm, written by their affiliate who is using the app since 2015. He discusses the features, effectiveness, and user experience of the app, while also delving into the scientific research behind its unique approach to enhancing focus and productivity. Here you can also read their research studies.

During the free trial period, I found the focus category to be particularly useful. However, since I already use other productivity apps, I decided not to continue with a paid subscription.

Quote of the Moment

“Don’t think about making art, just get it done. Let everyone else decide if it’s good or bad, whether they love it or hate it. While they are deciding, make even more art.” // Andy Warhol
